OUR
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE AND RETURN POLICY: We guarantee our
instruments 100%. If the instrument does not live up to
our description and is shipped back to us in the same condition
you received it and within 7 (seven)
days of
your receiving
it, you will get your purchase price back less shipping and insurance.
A lengthened try-out period may be granted at our discretion. Please call us for more details at: 859 657-6341
Of course you are responsible for any damage to the horn while in
your possession and our guarantee only covers a condition that
substantially differs from our description. It is not intended
to cover buyer's remorse or minor adjustment problems due to
shipping. Small problems such as pad leaks should be referred to
your local repair technician and in almost all cases we will gladly
reimburse you for any expense incurred. But, please
realize that your purchase is an implied contract between you
and us so be certain before you buy. Any damage to the
horn will be deducted from your refund.
If you return the
instrument, you are responsible for the
shipping charges and you must insure the instrument for its full
value. We will not refund the purchase price if the instrument
is lost or damaged in transit and was not fully insured. We
strongly recommend that you retain the original packaging
materials until you are thoroughly satisfied with the horn. If
needed we have third party insurance available at a substantial
savings over that provided by the carrier.
We
want you to be happy with your horn, and us.
PAYMENT METHODS:
We accept virtually any form of payment including Visa,
Discover, MasterCard, American Express and of course
PayPal.
We also accept eChecks
and personal checks (our favorite), cashier's checks, USPS money orders or, in the
case of a customer pickup of the instrument, cash. But remember,
if you come here to pick up your instrument, or we ship within
Kentucky, we must charge you Kentucky 6% sales tax so please
take that into consideration.
If you wish to pay by
credit card just give us a call at
(859) 657-6341 and we can take your credit card information over
the phone. We take all the major cards.
SECURITY DEPOSITS:
If we have a horn that you just must have but are in need of
some time to bake the bread, we'll accept a 10% non-refundable
deposit to hold the horn for 30 days. It works out to $150
on a $1,500 horn or $500 on a five large Mark VI. That deposit is, of course,
applicable to the purchase price. If you need some flexibility
in the time you will find us very easy to work with. We want you to get your
horn.
WEBSITE SALES
VS. EBAY SALES: We intend to keep our
prices as low as possible because we want these wonderful old
troopers to be in the hands of players who love them as much as
we do, not sitting on a sax stand in our security room.
If you have discovered
us through our eBay ads you may notice that the prices we ask on
eBay are often higher than on our web site. The web site
price is lower because if you buy direct from us then we don't
incur eBay fees and we pass that savings on to you. Buying directly
from us allows us to get to know you and your musical needs.
Then we get to offer you the absolute best and most
caring customer service in the industry. We're not phonies.
We treat you like family. We
truly care about your instrument purchase and your happiness.
SHIPPING:
We are quite meticulous with our packing and
shipping and we are expert at packing horns, both saxophones and
brass. Saxophones have the loose keys corked and the horn is
packed tightly in the case, particularly vintage cases which
usually offer little protection. If the case is too bad we have most
probably replaced it with a modern, fitted case and they cushion
the horn so well that it effectively ends the
shipping problem. We ship by UPS Ground domestically and FedEx for
International. However, we are ever attentive to the desires of
the customer so, if you have a favorite carrier, please let us
know and we will do everything possible to accommodate your
needs.
SELLING US A HORN
INTERNATIONAL SALES: For the purpose of our business
International Sales are defined as any sales outside the 48
contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii and all
the US Territories and Protectorates. We do not actively solicit
international sales but will sell to selected customers on a
case by case basis so long as the customer understands and is
willing to adhere to the following policies:
-
We will
not sell an
instrument overseas with an invoice price of more than
$2,500 USD.
-
We absolutely will
not falsify the invoice amount or any other paperwork in
order to avoid taxes or tariffs. We are often told that this
is a common practice with other instrument sellers but
felonious document falsification is not practiced at
This Old Horn, LLC so please do not ask.
-
International sales
are paid via bank transfer or PayPal
only.
-
All international
sales are shipped by Federal Express International Economy
service only. This is not
negotiable.
-
Please note
that we do not ship via the USPS internationally.
-
Absolutely
no
returns are allowed on International sales for any reason.
